Irene and her family are from Cape Verde but she was born and raised in Boston. She enjoys traveling and enjoys being able to experience new adventures, meet new people and learn about new cultures. She loves music and dancing, running, and exercising the creative parts of her brain. During her free time, she creates centerpieces and backdrops for private events.
Irene has been in the design industry for 6+ years, specifically in kitchen and space planning for 4+ years. Irene has a strong passion for designing kitchens because its the heart of the home. Together, families and friends spend the most time in the kitchen; whether it’s baking with little ones, helping teens with homework, or entertaining loved once over games, drinks and a warm meal. Irene loves being able to be a part of the project of making someone’s life a little more functional, in a beautiful way.
Prior to the industry, she spent 10 years in sales and customer service. she obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth in 2013. She has also attended industry seminars and online NKBA training sessions, for inspiration and to remain up to date with industry standards and trends.
Irene likes to put herself in the clients’ shoes to understand how they use their space. She says “The happiness the client feels once their dream space has been designed, gives me a sense of gratitude because I’m able to contribute my expertise and passion, to make their dreams come true.”
